Audi India is bringing in the next generation and the most advanced of A6's the 2012 Audi A6 Sedan. Audi is on a high in 2011 with Audi A8 already launched and Audi Q5 2.0 TDi and audi A7 to be launched.
The brand is giving good competition to car companies like BMW and Mercedes-Benz and with important launches scheduled one after the other. Audi is all set to compete with Mercedes E-CLass and BMW 5 Series. Performance wise it is quicker and more fuel efficient than the previous A6. The 2012 Audi A6 will see an Indian launch in September, 2011 and along with it will first come with the 2.0 TDi engine generating about 177 Bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque. Later on, three more engine options that are more powerful will be added.

Audi A7 is one of the most successful model of the German Luxury car manufacturer. Audi A7 has been Spotted testing numerous times in Pune over the past few months, Audi India will finally launch the 2011 Audi A7 Sportback in May, 2011. This car will compete cars like BMW GT and the Mercedes Benz CLS is expected to come with both a Diesel and a Petrol engine options.Audi A7 is a car built on sophisticated technology which ensures safety, comfort and effortless superiority.The vehicle will be positioned between the A6 and A8 in the Audi model portfolio. The Audi A7 Sportback would cost around INR 60-65 Lakh for the base variant with the prices more or less in the BMW 5 Series GT territory.
Engine options for Audi A7 -
- Supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with 272 PS (200 kW)
- 4.2 liter V8 with 377 PS (277 kW)
- 3.0-liter TDI with 253 PS (184 kW)
- 4.2 liter TDI with 355 PS (258 kW).

Audi India is getting huge success in the Indian market. The recent success is the Audi A8 which got appreciable initial bookings. Q5 2.0 TDI diesel Staled for launch sometime in March, the Q5 2.0 TDI will be priced at around Rs 42 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai. Will be Powered by a 1968cc, four-cylinder diesel engine as found on the A4, it produces 168 bhp@4200 rpm and about 35.3 kgm of peak torque, available between 1750 and 2500 rpm.
Currently, Audi offers the 3.0 TDI V6 at Rs 48.5 lakh, and the 2.0 TFSI supercharged petrol at Rs 42.5 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai. Like both models, the car will be offered with panoramic sunroof and the WCI package.
