I know Alan Puckett, now in his eighties, I occasionally see him when I play banjo in a local shopping centre where he lives in Sydney.
Alan is a gifted artist and is known for his use of this talent in painting lifelike photos of motorcycles that interest him.
He's owned some interesting ones, a 7R AJS comes to mind that Alan was convinced was owned by Mike Hailwood, but I'm not so sure....
He and a photographer, Warren Penny, collaborated in 1977 and produced this nice "coffee table" book that featured Alan's paintings and photographs by Warren. I note Jim Scaysbrook and the late Michael Robinson were also involved. Both people are associates of mine and Michael's death recently came as a shock to many.
It must be over 20 years since I've opened this book and the scanning of some of the contents was an interesting exercise.
For you people out there building a library, this is another unusual, interesting book on our interest...
I wouldn't hazard a guess where you would get one...it was published in Australia and likely only sold there, perhaps also in NZ.
